eCampusAlberta is pleased to announce good news for the holiday season of 2011.
An additional $200,000 will be awarded to member institutions for online curriculum development in 2012.
This latest round of funding, Online Curriculum Development Fund (OCDF) 7, will bring the total amount distributed to member institutions for online curriculum development to more than $4 million since the first awards in 2005/06.
Member institutions are invited to submit new proposals for curriculum development projects that fit within the program band priority areas outlined in the Campus Alberta Planning Resource. The Ministry priority areas for funding are: business/management; health and health sciences; trades and technology; and physical, natural and applied sciences.
The deadline for proposals to be submitted is Feb. 6, 2012.

Assisting members with developing high quality online curriculum has always been a top priority for eCampusAlberta.
Since the first round of funding in 2005/06 the OCDF has had a measurable positive impact on increasing the number of online courses and programs offered by members through eCampusAlberta.
Through six rounds of funding, up to June 2010, the OCDF has awarded $3.925 million to support the development of 411 courses across all member institutions, 331 of which have been developed and added to the eCampusAlberta inventory. A further 80 are expected to be completed and offered in the near future.
These curriculum development resources have been widely disbursed across the eCampusAlberta member institutions.
